Abstract:
Leach's Storm-Petrel is a state-listed endangered species that breeds at two locations in Massachusetts (Nomans Land Island and Penikese Island) as observed by Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (DFW) biologists. The breeding sites were buffered 0.3 nautical miles.
Purpose:
These data were used in the development of a comprehensive ocean management plan to protect critical marine resources and foster sustainable uses in Massachusetts state waters as mandated in the Oceans Act of 2008.
